Festival of Trees
Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont Foundation presents the annual Festival of Trees the second weekend after Thanksgiving. Come and enjoy lavishly decorated trees and beautiful wreaths to get you in the holiday spirit!
First Baptist Church on Grace Street in Greenwood
Saturday, Dec 7 :: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday, Dec 8 :: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
The trees and wreaths will be auctioned off to the highest bidder… so put your best bid forward! The wreaths will close on Sunday at 5:00 PM and the highest bidder will take them home that afternoon. The Live Auction of trees will begin starting with the highest amount on the bid sheet. If no one bids on the tree at the live auction, then the highest bidder on the sheet buys the tree. Large and slim trees will be delivered to the purchaser on Monday following the auction.
Admission to the Festival of Trees is $5 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. They may be purchased at the door. If you need additional information, please contact our office at 864-227-9393.

Santa Stroll
Keep the care going, walk to raise money for Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont Foundation. Remember loved ones no longer with us, and honor all Hospice and Palliative Care patients. The Santa Stroll is held the second Saturday following Thanksgiving at First Baptist Church. Our 5K walk (3.1 miles) takes you from First Baptist Church through surrounding scenic residential areas…or try the one-mile fun walk.
Route Marker signs will be placed along the Santa Stroll route for all passing runners and walkers to see. It can be made in memory or honor of a loved one, or just feature your company name. This is a great way for individuals or companies to support Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont Foundation!

Annual Memorial Service
You are invited to join us for this cherished community tradition—a very special evening of music, candle-lighting, and personal reflections shared with family members and others who have lost loved ones. It is held at First Baptist Church in Greenwood, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
The death of a loved one is, for most of us, one of the most difficult life events we will ever have to endure. Because grief can be so painful and overwhelming, we are sometimes scared into believing that, in order to heal, we must sever the bond we had with our loved one. Quite the opposite is true. By maintaining that special bond, by commemorating the lives of loved ones, by keeping their memory alive, we are better able to find that special place in our heart that is reserved only for them. The relationship continues—just in a different way.
We hope you will join us for this meaningful service.

Swing Fore Hospice
The Hospice Care of the Piedmont Foundation holds our annual “Swing Fore Hospice” Golf Tournament the third Tuesday in October at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, SC.
This will be a Four-Person Captain’s Choice (scramble format). This format will have flights based upon team handicaps with an 8:00 AM or 1:30 PM shotgun start.

Butterfly Celebration
The Saturday before Mother's Day at 10:30 AM, Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont will host our annual live butterfly release! The Friends of Hospice Committee sponsors this special occasion.
The event will be held in honor and in memory of special friends and family in our lives. The live butterflies are available for purchase at the cost of $15 each. A lovely note card will be sent to the person that you honor on your form… or a card to the family of the person that you are remembering. All forms must include complete addresses so that we may send the cards.

Easter Sunrise Service
Hope for Hospice Sunrise Service will be held on Easter Sunday, at 7:00 AM at Oakbrook Memorial Park overlooking the beautiful pond and the special Hospice Cross. We encourage attendees to bring their lawn chairs for seating. Coffee will be provided. The community is invited to attend this very meaningful service.
